Abstract

This study was done to evaluate the effect of telephone counselling on mother’s Health information regarding the growth and development of less than five years old children in Isfahan. In this randomized clinical trial, using a questionnaire, the health information of 1755 women having less than five years old children received telephone counselling for 6 month, compared with 1755 women without any counselling. For statistical analysis, SAS software was used. There were no meaningful differences between age, education, number and sex of children and source of health information in two groups. Leven and T test showed a meaningful differences between mother’s health information after intervention in case and control group (P<0.05). Telephone counselling can be useful to achieve WHO goals.
