Abstract

Fulltext

We are pleased to introduce you to Reports of Radiotherapy and Oncology (RRO), a new journal to publish in the field of cancer management.

As we know, cancer is one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity all around the world and it is believed that the cancer incidence will dramatically increase in future. This increase could be due to increasing life expectancy because of better control of communicable as well as non- communicable diseases and increasing awareness of general population as well as health care professionals in diagnosis and referral of cancer patients. In many countries, cancer is the second cause of mortality after cardiac diseases; therefore, improving the knowledge of health care professionals in various fields of oncology, in order to provide best possible service to the patients, is of outmost importance.
We believe that more can be accomplished together than even the best of us can accomplish alone, therefore, our aim is to bring professionals in all fields of cancer including clinical oncology, radiation oncology, hematological, surgical and gynecological oncology etc., as well as pathology, radiology, and clinical genetics together to solve the practical problems of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

The primary purpose of RRO is to focus on research pertaining to the clinical disciplines of oncology; however, other studies that have clinical cancer relevance are also accepted. Rapid publication is the major goal of this journal. We expect that full papers should be published within 6 months of receipt if deemed to be acceptable without revision or with minor revision.
Criteria for acceptance of manuscripts will be originality of the topic, scientific importance of the results, and well designed methodology, as well as the clinical utility of findings. Case reports will be considered suitable for inclusion in the journal when they have major diagnostic or therapeutic implications.

We welcome the submission of your manuscripts and promise to provide an outstanding forum for the presentation of clinical and translational cancer research. The editors need your support to make this journal interesting for all health care professionals working in field of oncology.
