Abstract

Some health services have been transferred to private sector by different methods such as managerial outsourcing, renting, purchase services and participation. The objective of this comparative study was to determine the efficiency of all health facilities of Tehran Gharb health center, in 2010. Data were collected from available documents and statistics and were analyzed by DEAP software. Among 11 health facilities, 27% were efficient and the mean efficiency score was 0.878. With regard to the results, it is probable that independence of these health facilities from governmental resources make them more efficient than similar facilities in other studies. However, appropriate policy making should be adopted to use financial resources in a better way.
