Abstract

Burkitt’s lymphoma is a very aggressive high grade B-Cell neoplasm, frequently seen in
children. It is composed of very uniform small non cleaved B cells.
This lymphoma is the EBV related endemic mostly found in Africa. It involves the lymph
nodes and extra nodal sits particularly the jaws.
We found a sixteen year old boy from Chabahar who had a chronic abdominal pain and
presented with mild hepatosplenomegly as well as anemia. Sonographic study indicated Para
aortic lymph adenopathy. After retroperitoneal lymph adenectomy and histopathologic
evaluation high grade Burkitt’s lymphoma was reported.
