The quality survey of medical students and assistants practice in history taking and physical examination of patients

Introduction: History taking and physical examination help physicians to find a valid diagnosis. 0 the basis of it, care process is provided . According to adversed reports in pertaining to medica l student s and assistants, taking history and ph ysic al examinations in some of educationa l hospi tals of medical sciences universi ties (Sha hid Beheshti , Is fahan and Sh ahid Sadooghi Yazd).l t is important th at practice of medical students and assistants in educati onal hospitals of Semnan university of medical sciences in this subject , will be survied. Materials and Methods: The study is a descriptive and analytic which studied o n 134 assistants and medical students history taking and physical examination in educational hospitals of Semnan university of medical sciences in 1999 -2000. The measurement device was a fo rty sectio n chec klist tha t was used aft er its validity and reli abili ty. Dat a coll ection was ca rr ied by indirect observa tion of interview between statistical society and patients and study of the medical history and the patients physical examination reports.
