Announcement

Comprehensive Health and Biomedical Studies is now Nursing Education and Community-Based Care

Effective 7 November 2026

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers,

The editorial board and the publisher are pleased to announce that, effective 7 November 2026, Comprehensive Health and Biomedical Studies (CHBS) continues under the new title Nursing Education and Community-Based Care (NECBC). The journal remains published by Brieflands as an open-access, peer-reviewed journal.

The new title reflects a refocused scope. The journal now concentrates on nursing education, community-based nursing care, and the connection between the two: how nursing students and nurses are educated and prepared, how nursing care is delivered and sustained in community settings, and how education translates into better care and community health outcomes. The full statement is available under Aims and Scope.

What This Means for Authors and Readers

  • Published articles. Articles published before 7 November 2026 remain part of the journal's permanent record. They keep their original DOIs and should continue to be cited under the title under which they were published, Comprehensive Health and Biomedical Studies.
  • Manuscripts under consideration. Manuscripts already submitted remain in the editorial system and continue through peer review without any action from the authors.
  • New submissions. New manuscripts should fall within the revised scope. Authors are asked to consult the Aims and Scope and the Instructions for Authors before submitting.
  • Website. The previous journal address redirects automatically to the new website.

We thank our authors, reviewers, and editorial board members for their continued support, and we welcome contributions from nurse educators, researchers, and practitioners working to strengthen nursing education and community-based care.

Sincerely,

Dr. Noorollah Tahery
