“Journal of Skin & Stem Cell, a quarterly publication by the Skin and Stem Cell Research Center at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, aims to advance clinical and experimental research in skin disease, cosmetic interventions, and cutaneous biology, advancing knowledge, with a special focus on advancing understanding of the diagnosis and management of skin disease and improving patient outcomes.”

The journal publishes interdisciplinary research focused on the skin and its stem cell systems, including:

  • skin pathology and dermatopathologic diagnosis
  • molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying skin development, repair, and disease
  • cutaneous stem cells, progenitor cells, and regenerative biology
  • genetic and genomic studies of skin function and dermatologic disorders
  • skin immunology, inflammation, and immune–stem cell crosstalk
  • pharmacologic and biologic therapies targeting skin disease and regeneration
  • cosmetic science relevant to skin physiology, aging, and repair
  • clinical studies in dermatology and regenerative skin medicine
  • laboratory-based investigations using in vitro, in vivo, and stem cell-derived models
  • population-level studies addressing the burden, determinants, and outcomes of skin disease
