The Middle East Journal of Rehabilitation and Health Studies (MEJRH) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the fields of rehabilitation sciences, health sciences, and clinically relevant medical research.

MEJRH welcomes manuscripts of high scientific quality that provide novel, methodologically rigorous, and clinically meaningful contributions to the understanding and improvement of health, functioning, independence, and quality of life. The journal places particular emphasis on interdisciplinary and translational research that bridges rehabilitation, clinical sciences, and public health, and informs evidence-based practice and policy.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

• Rehabilitation Sciences: Physical, occupational, vocational, neurological, musculoskeletal, psychosocial, and community-based rehabilitation across the lifespan (including pediatric and geriatric populations); disability, functioning and participation, and quality-of-life research; as well as assistive technologies and rehabilitation engineering.
• Communication and Sensory Rehabilitation: Speech and language rehabilitation, audiology and hearing sciences, communication disorders, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia) and their therapeutic management.
• Health Promotion and Public Health: Health education and promotion, disease prevention, behavioral and lifestyle interventions, and community- and population-based health research with relevance to rehabilitation and health outcomes.
• Clinical and Applied Health Sciences: Allied health sciences, interdisciplinary and patient-centered care, functional assessment and outcome measurement, and health services research related to rehabilitation and healthcare delivery.
• Medical Sciences: Basic, clinical, and translational medical research with direct relevance to rehabilitation, functional recovery, and health outcomes.
