The saga of Arbaeen has been discussed from various angles throughout history, and today, the gathering of more than 20 million Hosseini lovers is the largest human gathering in history. Since this spontaneous and grassroots movement has taken place without regular and usual coordination and planning, we have witnessed some disturbances in the field of health, including treatment and health management problems. Therefore, addressing the health needs of this enormous population is one of the most critical issues that must be addressed.
Over the past years, various organizations have spontaneously taken actions in this field based on their sense of duty. With the formation of the Arbaeen headquarters and the plans that have been made, many of these problems have been rectified. However, there has been a lack of a scientific approach and scientific conferences in the field of health for this vast gathering.
In recent decades, human gatherings have been a topic of discussion in healthcare and various specialized fields such as emergency medicine. The establishment of two previous health congresses during Arbaeen has met some of the scientific needs of this large gathering. We hope that in 1402, by holding the third congress and with the participation of health professionals from around the world, we will witness a comprehensive improvement in health during this significant human event. The enthusiastic presence of health colleagues at the Arbaeen ceremony and the use of your scientific experiences will certainly be beneficial and, God willing, will lead to the preparation of appropriate health treatment guidelines for this ceremony.
I would like to thank all the related and cooperating organizations, including the Ministry of Health, Medical Education, Red Crescent Organization, Universities of Medical Sciences, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Development and Reconstruction Headquarters of High Shrines and Arbaeen Headquarters, Country Emergency, and the Executive Headquarters of Imam's Order, who have cooperated in holding this scientific meeting.
