Aim & scope

This journal is owned by Iran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran and founded by Prof. Abdolreza Pazoouki.
Our journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge and promoting research related to health and well-being in the context of mass gatherings, including but not limited to community health, mass gathering health, Islamic mass gathering events, religious mass gathering health, non-religious mass gathering health issues, and health risks during mass gatherings.
Aim:
The aim of our journal is to provide a comprehensive platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings concerning the health and safety challenges associated with large-scale events and gatherings.
Scope:
We welcome a diverse range of contributions, including research articles, reviews, and studies, that explore various aspects of health in mass gatherings. Topics of interest encompass, but are not limited to, disease prevention, healthcare access, health disparities, health education, social determinants of health, crowd management, emergency preparedness, infectious disease surveillance, healthcare infrastructure assessment, health planning, cultural aspects of healthcare delivery, health risk assessments, disease epidemiology, safety protocols, medical interventions, and communication strategies.
Our scope includes both religious and non-religious mass gatherings, as well as events of global significance, offering insights into the unique challenges and solutions associated with these diverse contexts. Our goal is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the development of effective strategies to ensure the health and well-being of participants during mass gatherings of all types.
