بررسی اولویت های Pubmed Central در انتشار مطالعات منتج از گرانتهای NIH

طبق آخرین گزارش منتشر شده در مجله Nature که توسط محققین مرکز مجله شناسی دانشگاه اوتاوا انجام شده است، از بین حدود ۳۰۰ مجله مورد بررسی، ۲ مجله از انتشارات کوثر مقالاتی را که حاصل گرانت های NIH می باشند، منتشر نموده اند.

مجله Archives of Neurosciences با انتشار ۲ مقاله و مجله Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine با انتشار یک مقاله در بین این ۳۰۰ مجله نام برده شده اند.

طبق اصول بیان شده در Pubmed Central ،این پایگاه یک رپوزیتوری (و نه یک نمایه ساز) جهت انتشار Public مقالاتی است که از گرانتهای NIH (وزارت بهداشت آمریکا) استفاده می نمایند.

What is PubMed Central?

PubMed Central is an archive of full-text biomedical journal papers available online without a fee. Papers on PubMed Central contain links to other scientific databases such as GenBank (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/) and PubChem (https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/). What are the benefits of posting peer-reviewed papers to PubMed Central?
Once posted to PubMed Central, results of NIH-funded research become more prominent, integrated, and accessible, making it easier for all scientists to pursue NIH’s research priority areas competitively. PubMed Central materials are integrated with large NIH research databases such as GenBank and PubChem, which helps accelerate scientific discovery. Clinicians, patients, educators, and students can better reap the benefits of papers arising from NIH funding by accessing them on PubMed Central at no charge. Finally, the Policy allows NIH to monitor, mine, and develop its portfolio of taxpayer-funded research more effectively and archive its results in perpetuity.

How are NIH-funded articles submitted to PMC?

The final, published versions of NIH-funded articles are supplied to PMC only through publishers who have formal PMC participation agreements. NIH-funded author manuscripts must be submitted through the NIH Manuscript Submission (NIHMS) system.
