Abstract

Background: Gonorrhea has a cosmopolitan distribution and is spread by sexual intercourse. Objective: To determine the frequency of Gonorrhea and to present the sensitivity pattern of current antibiotics. Methods: In a descriptive research, 160 men with mean age of 32±8.26 referring to Sari Medical Center during 1997 to 1998 were examined by preparing smear and culture of urethral purulent discharge, first stream voided urine, seminal fluid and special media in microbiology labs by standard microbiological diagnostic methods. The sampling was sequential. Disk diffusion method was used to determine the drug sensitivity of spices.
