Report of laparoscopic cholecystectomy cases from Qazvin
Abstract Background: Laparascopy cholecystectomy is a new method of gall bladder removal with less than 1% mortality and morbidity rate and less pain and hospitalization. Objective: To evaluate laparascopy cholecystectomy in Qazvin. Methods: This study was conducted on 47 operative patients with the age range of 20 to 70 years, having acute and chronic phase on cholecyctitis , from 1997 to 1999 in Qazvin pasteur hospital. Findings: The findings indicated that 5 patients were male (10.6%) and 42 female (89.4%) in which 3 of the cases were diabetic and 2 had heart problems .The mean period of hospitalization was 1.77 + 1.1 days. Conclusion: The findings concluded that laparascopy is a selective method for cholecystectomy operations.
