Abstract

Abstract This cross-sectional study was done with the purpose of determining the prevalence of nosocomial multi-resistant Staphylococcus aureus among the patients admitted to Baqiyatallah hospital in 2005. S. aureus was isolated with the frequency of 1.3%. The highest prevalence of nosocomial infection caused by this organism occurred in ICU (54%) and would samples were most frequently reported to be positive.
