Abstract

Particulate matter is one of the important parameters in air pollutant standard index. 1095 samples were taken during three years and various seasons from five stations belonging to Kermanshah Environment Protection Agency. The results showed that particulate matter concentration was in the range of standard conditions in 67.5% of the days of the year, and it was in the range of dangerous conditions in 1.6% of the days of the year. Spring season and April month had the worst air quality in terms of PM10 concentration, which can be attributed to the incidence and intensity of dust phenomenon during this time.
