Introduction

To ensure the scientific quality and integrity of submitted manuscripts, authors are required to evaluate their work in accordance with the journal’s established standards prior to submission. Adherence to these criteria facilitates a more efficient peer-review process and enhances the clarity, rigor, and reproducibility of the research.

Brief Description

The following checklist outlines the essential requirements for each section of a scientific manuscript, including the title, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and references. Authors are expected to confirm that their manuscript demonstrates originality, methodological soundness, accurate reporting, and proper structure in line with these criteria. Completion of this checklist before submission will help minimize initial deficiencies and expedite the editorial and review process.


 

General Checklist

  • Subject
  • 1) Is the article within the scope of the journal?
  • 2) Does the article demonstrate novelty?
  • Title
  • 3) Does the title accurately reflect the content?
  • 4) Are there any unnecessary abbreviations in the title?
  • Abstract
  • 5) Is the abstract structured?
  • 6) Are 3–10 keywords selected from MeSH?
  • Introduction
  • 7) Are the objectives or hypotheses clearly stated?
  • 8) Does the introduction cover “what is known,” “what is unknown,” and the study aim?
  • Materials and Methods
  • 9) Are participant selection criteria clearly described?
  • 10) Is the study design adequately described?
  • 11) Is the sample size adequate?
  • 12) Are subjects representative of the target population?
  • 13) Is a sample size calculation or justification provided?
  • 14) Are control subjects appropriate?
  • 15) Is the study power reported?
  • 16) Are actual P values reported?
  • 17) Is investigator blinding described (if applicable)?
  • 18) Is participant blinding described (if applicable)?
  • 19) Are instruments and equipment identified (manufacturer details included)?
  • 20) Are procedures described in sufficient detail for reproducibility?
