Announcement: Brieflands is the new publisher of the Koomesh Journal

We are excited to announce that Brieflands STM Publisher is now the official publisher of the Koomesh Journal, a peer-reviewed, open-access, bimonthly journal affiliated with Semnan University of Medical Sciences, Iran, since May 15, 2024. Established in 2000, the Koomesh Journal has consistently published multidisciplinary research articles relevant to medicine and allied sciences. The journal's editorial board is pleased to inform you that starting with Volume 25, Issue 6, Koomesh will be managed and published by Brieflands. This transition marks a significant change in the submission, tracking, and publishing processes, which will now be handled by Brieflands. Authors are encouraged to refer to the revised instructions for submission to ensure a smooth process.

The journal includes a wide array of articles such as peer-reviewed research, original research articles, case reports with clinical significance, review articles, and position papers on health care issues, medical education, and public policy. It welcomes contributions in the form of Original Papers, Review Articles, Short Communications, and Letters to the Editor in the fields of medical sciences.

Concurrent with the change in publisher, there will be an expansion in the journal's scope and dimensions. We believe this transition will enhance the journal's reach and impact, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to publishing high-quality research in the field of medical sciences.

As an “Academic Research Journal” approved by the Journal Commission of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Koomesh Journal maintains rigorous standards for submissions. Manuscripts submitted to the Koomesh Journal are reviewed with the understanding that they are exclusive to the journal and become the property of the Publisher upon submission. All data and conclusions presented must be approved by the authors, and necessary ethical approvals from relevant review committees must be documented, except for noninvasive and routine clinical statistics-based work.

Content Coverage

Koomesh is a bilingual (Persian with English abstracts), bimonthly academic journal available in electronic format and supervised by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran and Semnan University of Medical Sciences. The journal covers topics in medicine and allied sciences. It welcomes original research articles, case reports, letters to the editor, review articles, brief reports, debate articles, and study protocols in these fields.
