Abstract

Background: In order to increase the quality of nursing care, we need to be aware of the problems of nursing and midwifary students. Objective: To determine the educational, welfare and occupational problems of nursing and midwifary students. Methods: A questionnaire was given to 148 students and their answers were analyzed by statistical tests. Findings: The majority of students were single and female. They were not interested in their field of study and also not satisfied with the university educational and administrative system. Despite their dislikes, they continued working in their field of study. Conclusion: In order to improve the working quality of nurses and midwifers, we need to pay more atlersion to their problems.
