Update Policy with Crossmark

Last Update: 23 September, 2024 | 17:13

All Brieflands journals enabled with Crossmark

The CrossMark logo is a commitment by Brieflands to update the content published and alert readers in case of any change occurring in an article.

Crossmark gives readers quick and easy access to the current status of an item of content.

If a secondary and related article (like a retraction note, corrigendum, letter, reply, ...) is accepted for a primary article, authors will be informed using the Crossmark facility and able to track it using a notification. The Brieflands content with the CrossMark logo is restricted to journal content and specific publication types (like original articles, review articles, and brief reports). Clicking on the CrossMark icon will inform the reader of the document's current status and may also provide additional publication record information about the document.

These article types could be linked to the source article using a Crossmark logo even after publishing:

  • Corrections
  • Supplementary data
  • Letter to the Editor
  • Retractions
  • Reply
  • adding ORCID
  • funding data
  • license details
  • Clinical trial registration data
  • peer review information

  • It provides a standard way to communicate this information to readers and shows the publisher's ongoing commitment to stewarding the content.
  • It increases the trust between readers and journals
