Open Authorization in Brieflands Journals

Last updated 2 September, 2026 | 10:12

Open Authorization (OAuth) is an open standard that lets you sign in to any Brieflands journal using an account you already hold elsewhere. You do not create another password, and the journal never receives the password for that account.

Accounts you can sign in with

Any of these works on every Brieflands journal website.

ORCID

The researcher identifier used across scholarly publishing. See ORCID in Brieflands Journals.

Google

Sign in with an existing Google account.

LinkedIn

Sign in with an existing LinkedIn account.

Facebook

Sign in with an existing Facebook account.

How access delegation works

OAuth delegates access rather than sharing credentials. When you choose one of the options above, the provider confirms your identity and returns only what the journal needs to sign you in. Your password for that account is never passed to the journal website.

Prefer a separate journal account?

You can register with an email address and password instead. See Create an Account and Signing In.
